From the Bavarian Sea to the summit in 30 minutes

A la ke and recreation area first class. Who looks from ‘Prien’ or ‘Gstadt’ across
the lake is particularly impressed by the suddenly towering mountain range
behind the lake. ‘Hochfelln’, ‘Hochgern’, ‘Hochplatte’ and ‘Kampenwand’
often appear in the best light.
In the foreground, the islands ‘Frauenchiemsee’ (with nunnery) and
‘Herrenchiemsee’, on which the castle “Herrenchiemsee” was built.

Depending on where you start and if you can get the gondola lift immediately,
you can actually stand within about 30 minutes in 1674 m altitude on the summit
of ‘Hochfelln’. Chiemsee ’, Bavaria's sea, is the third largest lake in Germany.
